Filmmaker Farah Khan has had to issue an apology to actress Deepika Padukone over a comment she made about her acting skills. Farah made amends after she rated Deepika poorly during a chat with filmmaker Karan Johar on the TV show Koffee with Karan.

"I am sorry I made a mistake," Farah said about Deepika. Asked by Karan to rate some popular actresses in order of talent, Farah had ranked Deepika at the bottom.

When reminded by Karan that Deepika debuted in her film, she said: "But then I saw (her in) some other movies too." Sure Deepika would not have taken kindly to that remark. So Farah was quick to defend herself.

"Deepika has become a very good actress. I had seen her in the film Bachna Ae Haseeno after Om Shanti Om, in which she was really not very good. But she showed a lot of improvement in Karthik Calling Karthik," Farah said.

Now his two daughters, Taylor-Ann and Hayley, are taking part in his latest foray into television: a reality show called "The Hasselhoffs."

The series looks at Hasselhoff’s life in the entertainment industry and his work to bring his daughters’ band “Bella Vida” into the spotlight.

"I cut my make-up bag by about 90 per cent. I carry a bag with six things in it, concealer - which is essential for covering up those sleepless nights - and foundation with some illuminating light in it, lipstick, an eyebrow brush, mascara and powder. That's it."

Actor Daniel Radcliffe believes people will always think of him as Harry Potter and has no qualms if his fans always visualise him as the bespectacled hero. The British star, who played the wizard kid in eight movies feels he will never be able to separate himself from the magical character,Contactmusic reported.
"I'm sure some people will see me forever as Harry Potter and I'm fine with that," said the 21-year-old actor.

Claire Danes in 'Showtime Series'

Claire Danes, who recently won an Emmy for HBO's "Temple Grandin," has been signed to star in a new Showtime drama, "Homeland," which will begin production in January.

The series revolves around an American soldier taken prisoner during the invasion of Iraq in 2003. After being left for dead, the soldier returns to the U.S. after spending many years in captivity. Danes will play Carrie Anderson, an ambitious CIA officer battling her own psychological demons who becomes convinced that something is not right and that the returning soldier might be connected to an Al Qaeda plot to be carried out on American soil.

The role of the soldier will be cast shortly, Showtime executives said.

The project, which is loosely based on the Israeli TV series "Prisoners of War," is the first to be ordered by Showtime President of Entertainment David Nevins, who assumed his post in August. One of the executive producers of the pilot is Howard Gordon ("24").

"Homeland" marks a return to series television for Danes, who first came to prominence in the 1994 ABC series "My So-Called Life."

Christina Milian's Divorce Deal

Christina Milian and music super-producer The-Dream have reportedly finally reached a divorce settlement -- one that will award the singer a one-time sum of $4 million.

Milian will get the windfall in addition to $5,000 a month in child support for her and The-Dream's daughter, Violet, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

In exchange for the payment and continued support, Milian is also said to have signed a strict non-disclosure agreement that forbids her to divulge details of their relationship.

The pair eloped in 2009 to Las Vegas, only to announce in July 2010 that they'd split a few months after their wedding. While The-Dream -- real name Terius Nash -- said their efforts as a couple were "unsuccessful," photos of the producer frolicking on a beach with his assistant suggested infidelity.

If the NDA is in place, we'll probably never know. And Milian can sing her own tune all the way to the bank.

Cheryl Cole the new X Factor Judge

One of her acts was sent home this weekend, but it seems Cheryl Cole still has something to celebrate.

The 27-year-old has discovered that she’s landed a place on the judging panel of the U.S. version of the X Factor, according to a source, in a deal worth up to £3million.

An insider had already suggested that Cole was a ‘good bet’ to join Simon Cowell on the show next year.

But on Saturday night, Mrs Cole was officially offered the job, the source said, only a week after executives from U.S. television network Fox flew in to watch the ITV talent show – and the judge – in action.

Cowell, 51, last week revealed that he planned to announce the judges for the U.S. version in December.

The multi-millionaire said: ‘I’m going to make an announcement within three or four weeks, which is going to tell everyone everything. There will be some surprises.’

He then revealed: ‘OK, one of the judges has quite long hair.’

Singer Nicole Scherzinger, who performed her new single Poison on Sunday night’s show, is also a favourite to join the judging panel after a successful stint standing in for Dannii Minogue at the auditions this summer.

Mrs Cole is said to be keen to launch her music career in the U.S. and flew to meet record bosses at Universal earlier this month. They want to release her second solo album, Messy Little Raindrops, there next year.

Cowell helped the singer make the move away from her pop band Girls Aloud when he handed her the X Factor role two years ago.

Charlize Theron in The Dark NIght Rises

Considering the information lock-down that Warner Bros. and director Christopher Nolan are likely installing for The Dark Knight Rises, their upcoming sequel to The Dark Knight, fans will likely have to hear many rumors before any true details are presented (a "Marion Cotillard to play Catwoman or Talia Al Ghul" rumor already floated around in August). The latest rumor claims that Charlize Theron, Vera Farmiga, and The Burning Plain actress Kacie Thomas are being sought for two female lead roles in the highly-anticipated sequel. While the rumor remains unsubstantiated, the roles the actresses are rumored for definitely draw interest.

According to the report, Theron is being sought for the role of Sarah Essen, a Gotham detective that strikes up an affair with then-Lieutenant Gordon in Frank Miller's 1987 Year One arc of the Batman comic book. Gary Oldman getting a love interest? We admit, it's intriguing.

Meanwhile, Farmiga and Thomas are reportedly up for the role of Julie Madison, who appeared in the comic books as Bruce Wayne's fiancee and earliest love interest. Again, intriguing.

One thing is for sure: with the character of Rachel Dawes (played by Maggie Gyllenhaal in The Dark Knight) no longer a part of the series, there's currently no love interest for Christian Bale. It's likely that Nolan, and his screenwriting brother Jonathan, will likely find some kind of female lead for Bale to work with. However, until something concrete is announced, expect more speculation until The Dark Knight Rises opens on July 20, 2012.

Carrie Prejean expecting her first child

She may be down a sash but she's up one husband – and soon, a baby.

Former Miss California Carrie Prejean is expecting her first child, FOX411.com reported.

Prejean, who was stripped of her title in 2009 for contraction violations, is three months along, she told the site.

The beauty queen married Oakland Raiders quarterback, Kyle Boller, in July.

"We are just so excited," Prejean gushed. "I'm due in May on my grandmother's birthday. She recently passed away, so that's very special to us."

Though the couple won't know the sex of the baby until next week, they are already "thinking about names."

"But we are keeping it to ourselves for right now. It has been fun looking at baby books," Prejean said, noting that she's also been dealing with some of the not-so-fun aspects of pregnancy.

Carla Bruni's helping hand

Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, France's first lady, has vowed to help a grieving Italian mother find out what happened to her son, who died in mysterious circumstances while held in a French prison.

In her letter Mrs Bruni-Sarkozy, who sees herself as a champion for human rights, she said: "I was very deeply moved by your letter and I want to express my deep condolences. I want you to know that I am close to you in your pain.

"I have full faith in the French justice system and they will answer you and the Italian authorities. There is ongoing contact between them both. Be assured you have my solidarity, keep strong and brave. Carla Bruni-Sarkozy."

Mrs Antignano had written to her last month asking her for help after official requests for information from Franco Frattini, Italy's Foreign Minister, to French authorities also went answered.

Mrs Antignano, who had been planning to travel to Paris to take her protest to the French personally, said: "I couldn't believe it when I got the reply from her. I hope as well that my faith in French justice will return."

She added that Mrs Bruni-Sarkozy's reply meant she would be unlikely now to travel to France for a while as the letter had "brought the matter to public attention".
French authorities are investigating the death which took place in Grasse prison and have promised to return the missing organs by the end of next month so that an autopsy on them can be carried out in Italy.

They are also trying to trace a diary he kept in which his mother says he detailed his mistreatment and poor conditions and which has gone missing since his death.
It is not the first time that Mrs Bruni-Sarkozy has intervened personally in cases of alleged injustice – three months ago she attacked Iran's plan to stone a woman to death and was labelled a "prostitute".

Again using a letter she had expressed her support for Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani, 43, who was accused of cheating on her husband and then helping to kill him.

Cameron Diaz Hot Gossips

The day of the puppets has come at last (or so it would seem from recent news out of Hollywood.) In addition to the star-studded Muppet film The Greatest Muppet Movie Ever Made, we have some potential blockbuster casting news on the dark comic puppet film The Happytime Murders.

As we wrote in our first description of the film in October, the movie “depicts an alternate reality where puppets are sentient beings that live alongside humans. The puppets exist as “second class citizens” to the humans, and when the cast of an 80s puppet TV show, ‘The Happytime Gang,’ begin to turn up dead, an alcoholic ex-cop puppet turned private detective must solve the murders with his human ex-partner.”

All in all, it’s a pretty intriguing premise, and something that I would definitely be interested in seeing. Then again, I could listen to the soundtrack to Avenue Q everyday and never get tired of it, so I’m probably the ideal target for this movie.

Considering the somewhat unusual nature of the movie, could it click with general audiences? Perhaps, if you add a legit A-list star like Cameron Diaz. According to Vulture, Diaz has been offered a role in the film. There is no word yet on whether she has read the script or made a decision either way, but it’s still an interesting piece of news. For one thing, it begs the question of who Diaz might be playing.

In most crime movies, there’s a femme fatale character — somebody who cozies up to the lead and throws a wrench into his plans. Smart money says the role Cameron Diaz was offered fits into that category. On the other hand, the writers may have flipped the script and made a woman the human ex-partner, in which case Diaz could be up for that part.

Whatever the case, it’s nice to see a big name attached to such a unique project. Vulture has some details on the script and it sounds like the filmmakers are really shooting for an R-rating. That’s good to hear. Sometimes, with all of the mundane sequels, remakes, and retreads, it feels like nobody in Hollywood is willing to take a chance with their movie. The Happytime Murders could be an awesome movie that bucks that trend.

Bristol Palin's Poor Performance

Bristol Palin’s dancing on the sign-of-the-apocalypse programming, Dancing With The Stars, has prompted a lot of criticism, but this may be the first 15-hour armed stand-off with the cops. Steven Cowan, 67, of Wisconsin, apparently flew into a frothy rage after watching the young Palin, who he claimed was not a good dancer and was only on the show because of her mother’s fame, and shot his television with a single-shot shotgun. According to a police report of the incident, he was so angry, he scared the “Bejebees” of his wife, Janice.

Cowan, however, then turned the gun on his wife, who managed to escape, and call the police (and tell them he scared the “Bejebees” out of her); a 15-hour stand off between Cowan and the cops, involving the SWAT team, then ensued.

Get ready for fireworks: Brandi Glanville, Eddie Cibrian's ex-wife, says she is finally "going to go and sit down and talk" to LeAnn Rimes.

She made the announcement Thursday on the new daytime chatfest The Talk, USA Today reports.

During her chat with Sharon Osbourne, Leah Remini and Julie Chen, Glanville said she thought she had "a great marriage" to Cibrian, 38. "My marriage - in my head - was not in trouble," she said.

That's why she was so caught off-guard by Us Weekly's report that Cibrian and Rimes, 28, had an affair shooting a Lifetime flick last year.

She said it's been tough adjusting, especially now that her two boys are living with Rimes and Cibrian.

So she is usually left nursing wine alone.

She said what used to be "one to two" glasses "is now three to four."

But Glanville, who was recently arrested for DUI, insisted, "I don't think I have a drinking problem. I think I had a problem the other night when I made a bad choice to drive."

On Wednesday (November 10), Avril Lavigne took to her official website to pen an open letter to fans, informing them that she has completed her new album. While the follow-up to 2007's The Best Damn Thing doesn't have a confirmed release date, the singer writes about the album and gives some insight as to why it has taken so long to hit shelves, even admitting she finished the project last year.

"I just wanted to fill you guys in. I'm done with my 4th record!" she writes. "Well, actually I have been done for a year and now my record company have finally decided to release it. OMG. How nice! Thanks guys."

Lavigne acknowledges her absence from the industry, revealing that she has infused herself into many aspects of the album, including writing and production.

"I have been dying to get back out on the road and do what I love the most ... PLAY MUSIC," she continues. "I know you guys have been waiting for a long time ... and so have I, but not by choice. I have been sitting with this record for a year now. It's really special to me. I have produced a couple tracks alone for the first time, written solo, with friends, I have pushed myself and I feel proud."

While the pop/rock songstress tried her hand as a producer for the first time, she also experienced some other not-so-pleasant first encounters.

"In saying all that, this has been a really difficult record for me to create and to release. Not only is this the most meaningful and special record I have written, it is sincere, honest and close to my heart," the post continues. "But for the first time I experienced a bunch of bureaucratic BS. People do their best work when they are doing what they want, love and is natural for them, not when you are forcing them to be something that they are not."

In what sounds like a sideswipe at her record label for holding on the LP, the Canadian singer reminds fans of the message she's promoted since the start of her career: "From the beginning of my career my message has always been to be yourself and stand up for what you believe in. Follow your heart."

But the 26-year-old ends on a high note by dishing details on the album's first single and the other projects on her plate.

"My first single off this record is called: 'What the Hell,' " she reveals. "This song is the least personal song to me off this album. It's a fun and funny anthem. It has a broad message about personal freedom. It is the most pop track on the record."

The singer reveals that she is scheduled to shoot a clip for the lead single in two weeks, with a January 2011 release date.

In addition to the album, Lavigne says she's concentrating on keeping a balance between her personal and professional life. "I have been extremely busy designing [my clothing line] Abbey Dawn and taking the line internationally for the first time, establishing 'The Avril Lavigne Foundation' and focusing on my personal happiness and health. Balance!"

While the singer has managed to keep her material from leaking onto the Internet, her 2002 hit single "I'm With You" has been making the blog rounds. Rihanna sampled the ballad for the party anthem "Cheers (Drink to That)" on her new album, Loud.

Audrina Patridge looked smoking hot in a strapless purple cocktail dress when she announced the 2011 People's Choice Awards nominees Tuesday morning in West Hollywood's London Hotel.

"The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" looks set to steal the show at January's People's Choice Awards in Los Angeles - the film has picked up the lion's share of nominations.

Meanwhile, Angelina Jolie will fight it out with Bradley Cooper, Jake Gyllenhaal, Robert Downey, Jr. and Jackie Chan for favorite Action Star.

Blood suckers are also taking a bite out of the small screen categories - "The Vampire Diaries'" Ian Somerhalder is nominated for favorite TV Drama Actor and his series is nominated for favorite TV Drama and favorite Sci-Fi Fantasy Show.

"True Blood" will go head-to-head with "The Vampire Diaries" for the Sci-Fi Fantasy title, and the drama is also up for favorite TV Obsession.

Elsewhere, musical comedy "Glee" is in the running for five awards, including favorite TV Comedy. "Glee" stars Matthew Morrison and Jane Lynch will be vying for the favorite TV Comedy Actor and Actress prizes, respectively, while Britney Spears and Neil Patrick Harris' cameos have earned the series a mention in the favorite TV Guest Stars category.

In the music categories, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift and Katy Perry will compete for favorite Female Artist and Eminem, Usher and Enrique Iglesias are all up for favorite Male Artist.

Ashley Judd In 'Dolphin Tale'

"Kiss the Girls" co-stars Morgan Freeman and Ashley Judd have reunited for "Dolphin Tale," a film being shot in Florida, Warner Bros. said Wednesday.

Harry Connick Jr. and Kris Kristofferson also star in the Alcon Entertainment movie, inspired by the true story of a dolphin named Winter and the people who banded together to save its life, the studio said.

"The real Winter has served as an example of courage, perseverance and hope to people around the world, and we're hoping that the movie about her extraordinary rescue and recovery will also inspire, as well as entertain, audiences everywhere," producers Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove said in a joint statement.

"We are very excited to be filming 'Dolphin Tale' at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, the very place where her story unfolded. And we are also thrilled to be working with (director Charles Martin Smith) and our amazing cast. But, without a doubt, Winter is the one who has captured all our hearts. She is a star in every sense of the word," producer Richard Ingber said.

That is just one of the revelations in Oscar-winning filmmaker Alex Gibney’s new documentary “Client Nine: The Rise & Fall of Eliot Spitzer,” which explores the events surrounding his scandalous hookups with prostitutes and subsequent resignation from the New York governorship.

According to the film, Ashley Dupre’s highly publicized “relationship” with Eliot Spitzer was actually nothing more than a two-hour rendezvous in a D.C hotel room.

His real “connection,” if you will, was with another escort who calls herself “Angelina,” who Spitzer saw repeatedly. Angelina agreed to talk to Gibney for her documentary provided he did not disclose her real identity. So Gibney hired an actress to tell her story direct from interview transcripts.

“Angelina is very proud of what she does. She thinks it’s a calling, and but at the same time there are people in her life that don’t know what she does and so she wants to keep it under that radar,” Gibney told Pop Tarts. “I found her to be a very engaging, intriguing character, she was very smart and funny, very self assured.”

Heading northbound on Hwy 99 from Seattle, the first bar you'll encounter as you enter the city of Everett is a 7-night-a-week karaoke destination called O'Finnigan's Pub. Like most bars along 99, the place doesn't look like much from the outside, but I was there on a Monday night, and this scene rivals any place I've been in Seattle. When I walked in at ten, party music was blasting, there were clusters of chicks, and I might have been the oldest person there.

The place was divey and decked out in Halloween décor. It didn't look like an Irish Pub at all. I got a little intimidated by the sign above the bar that warned fighting gets you banned for life. It definitely looked like a place where a sign like that would be necessary. I took a seat at the bar and was served up a bottle of Rainier by a tall bartender wearing a t-shirt with a picture of Bill Clinton on it that read "Will work for head" (it sounds pretty bad, but he actually pulled it off). The other bartender was a short brunette that reminded me of Snohomish County native (Edmonds) Anna Faris. She was a super flirt and watching her and "Bill Clinton shirt" play grab-ass all night provided even more entertainment to an already lively evening.

There wasn't an established rotation to start. The KJ, Adam, did a great job spreading out the few slips he had up. We were in Everett, so the tunes he played between performers was an even split of Hip Hop and Country Pop. He had all the girls up and dancing all night. T

he first singer I saw was a gal that did "Hit Me With Your Best Shot." It was as good as that song could sound after the 50th time hearing it. Singing it was total second nature to her, so she really had to be sick of it too. It got me wondering: Do these people that perform it really love the song, or is it just super easy to sing? When I think of Benatar songs I love, "Hit Me.." wouldn't even make the list, but people rarely try her great stuff like "Shadows of the Night," "Love is a Battlefield," or "We Belong." Those are the songs that separate the varsity from the B-squad.

Early on, there was only a singer every 15 minutes, so I had plenty of time to search through the book (they had a huge catalog, all on computer). My original plan going in was to goof around and try some suicides, but after seeing the place had a full audience, I needed to deliver something to earn everyone's respect. I've looked through the Tom Petty section pretty much every time, but for some reason have never wanted to try "You Don't Know How it Feels." I had three beers in me by the time I was called up, and it put me in enough of a groove to completely crush it. The song has that totally recognizable beat, heads started bopping as soon as I started singing it, and I had people on the dance floor by mid-song. The thing that's best about the number is how easy it is to sing. There was no strain to it whatsoever; I just had to sing it "cool."

All the singers could carry a tune, which is something you can't take for granted in any k-bar. This dude sang Pearl Jam's "Yellow Ledbetter" and did it in a way that wasn't completely boring. He was followed by the flirty bartender gal, Karee Jo. Her voice was Stevie Nicks "slithery" and she did "Criminal" by Fiona Apple. Her vocal runs were smooth and natural, and she was the best female performer of the night.

There were, however, a couple numbers that were crowd pleasers that I completely hated. They were remakes of "Carless Whisper" (Seether) and "Tainted Love" (Marylin Manson) done in that horrible post-grunge, 90's Alternative style. I can't think of a worse mixing of genres than that. Call me a pussy or old fashioned all you want, but to turn those beautiful 80's classics into that hog shit is totally blasphemy.

By 11, the place felt like a Friday night. People were up line dancing to every song. It reminded me a lot of the Little Red Hen. I further solidified my standing as the best male performer of the night with some Little River Band and sealed it shut with a cut off Prince's Purple Rain soundtrack: "Take Me With You." The song is technically a duet, so I had to sing it in two different octaves, which tends to come out awkward,. But with this song it wound up working really well with my range. I got handshakes and slow claps heading back to my chair. God damn, I love karaoke.

Angelina Jolie to start her film in Bosnia

Actress Angelina Jolie will film scenes from her directorial debut in Bosnia from November 17 to 21 where her wartime love story between a Serb man and a Muslim woman has sparked controversy.

Bosnian media reported that Jolie will film in the capital Sarajevo and the central town of Vares. The reports were confirmed by a source close to Jolie's local production team.

"The dates are not definitive and can change, it all depends on how the filming currently under way in Hungary goes," the source, who did not want to be named, said.

The Hollywood superstar started filming her first feature as a director, an as yet untitled love story set against the background of the bloody 1992-95 inter ethnic war in Bosnia, in Hungary's capital Budapest early October
According to a short synopsis of the film a young couple is separated as the war starts. When they see each other again the girl, a Muslim, is held in a detention camp where her former boyfriend is now a guard.

The movie caused controversy in Bosnia when local media repeated rumours that the film was the story of a Muslim rape victim who fell in love with her Serb attacker.
Women victims' associations complained about the reported content and in mid-October the Bosnian authorities suspended Jolie's filming permit.

It was quickly reinstated after Jolie sent the authorities a copy of the script which her Bosnian production company says does not include any rape love story.
The actress-turned-director has said she wants to meet the women victims' associations who complained about her film while she is shooting in Bosnia to clear up any misunderstandings.

Amy Winehouse Back to Form

Amy Winehouse is back on track, ready to hit the stage after two years.

She has been booked to sing in Russia next month before a jaunt to Brazil in January for a six-day tour - pocketing around 300,000 dollars, reports The Sun.
